Smuggler’s Den Campground has been family-owned for three generations. It has over 100 sites – for tents, pop-ups, and campers as well as RVs. Delivered RVs are popular here, as it takes the hassle out of vacationing.
Amenities
Smuggler’s Den offers clean bathrooms and hot showers. There’s also a heated pool, a kiddie pool, and a playground. Guests will enjoy advanced Wi-Fi. There are full hookup sites, including electric and water. Sites are either back-in, back-in with cement pad, or pull-thru with cement pad.
Amenities include a camp store, a fire ring and picnic table at every site, and a coin-operated laundry facility.
Surroundings
Smuggler’s Den is located on Mount Desert Island and is situated just west of Acadia National Park, so close that you can actually start on one of their walking trails from the campground.
Southwest Harbor has plenty of shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
