Monterey Fairgrounds RV Park is, as the name implies, right on the fairgrounds.
The park provides full hookups, either 30 or 50 amp, plus water and sewer. There are hot showers and a coin-operated laundry facility. There’s also wireless internet access. Pets and children are welcome. There is also ADA accessibility. Note that not all the sites are level, so bring your own blocks, as well as an extra-long sewer hose and power cord in case they are needed.
There are a few blackout dates – for 2020 it’s a few days in May, in August, and in September. Prices will also go up for special events, such as the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Monterey Car Week. On those occasions at least, make sure to make your reservations in advance.
The Monterey Fairgrounds is in the heart of Monterey. From this base, you can visit the Aquarium, Cannery Row, go on walking, biking, or car tours, and visit a variety of museums.
