Buena Vista Recreation Area is about 25 miles southwest of Bakersfield. Its two lakes – Lake Evans and Lake Webb – were both man-made.
Amenities
The campground is located at Lake Webb. On a horseshoe-shaped spit of land that juts out into the lake are 112 campsites in a double row. There’s boating, fishing, and jet-skiing available. The smaller Lake Evans is perfect for sailing and fishing. There are picnic areas, a basketball court, a soccer field, and children’s playgrounds as well. There are also two concession buildings.
