Big Sur Campground and Cabins is pleasantly situated among the beautiful Redwood trees flanking the pristine Big Sur River. This privately owned campground, founded in 1953, is open year round.

Amenities
This campground has plenty of cabins and tent sites, but only a handful of hookup sites. They can accommodate trailers and motor homes up to 40 feet long. There is a central dump station. Prices are slightly higher for a site on the river. For cabins, tent sites and RVS, check in time is 12 noon and check out is 11 am.

Because it’s right on the Big Sur river, guests can go swimming in the river or go inner tubing. There are basketball and volleyball courts as well as a kid’s playground. Of course, there’s a camp store and laundry facilities.

Attractions
Andrew Molera State Park is just a couple of miles north, and Pfeiffer State Park is a mile and a half south of the campground. Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is 12 miles south. Each of these parks offers fabulous hiking trails and scenery. There is fishing in season – catch and release only. Wildlife lovers will see raccoons and squirrels and deer, as well as birds, such as Stellar Jays. Keep your eyes peeled for a beautiful bobcat, fox, or coyote.

Reservations several months – even a year – in advance are needed to ensure your RV spot over a holiday.
