My family is from Southern California but we are living in Seattle. We have a travel trailer of our own that we tow locally but most of our RV vacations are meeting up with other families down in SoCal so we rent to avoid towing our trailer long distances. We don't smoke and don't have pets. All but one of our kids are out of the house with the last one headed off to college this fall. Our time to spend with the kids is limited so we try to make the most of it.
